More amazing snow pictures!!!

Well I will start by saying it warmed up a bit yesterday. We are hovering around freezing, but it's enough to start melting what we have. the main streets are bare, side streets are a mess still. I'm telling you, I have never been so happy to see rain!!! If your getting sick of snow pics just let me know. I have some from my phone I still need to dowload too. They won't be as good a quality but around town was an amazing sight to see. Store parking lot snow piles from plowing were so high that in most cases you could only see the very top of buildings. We did have a nice Christmas though, We did Turkey and it turned out perfect!!! quiet day at home together staying warm. Hope you all had a nice Christmas too.

Below you will see Doug stuck in the back yard!!! we had to go back and shake the snow off our Arborvitae bushes a few times. Take into consideration that he is already on higher ground than normal because of the snow pack he is standing on then the snow is at waist as well.

I took this picture from the very back of the yard, I normally look up to this tree, but as you can see i am level with it here.

This picture was taken from our patio. Me and my next door neighbor rest our elbows on that fence while we chat (during the summer, when it's warm) just to give you some perspective on how high the snow got.

Of course this is my snow project which lasted from December 18th until it finally fell yesterday, December 27th. This picture was also taken from the patio on the 26th.

And here is a front view taken early am on the 26th. it was the warmth that made it fall. Crazy!!!

Wow, and I thought our 9" was a lot! You guys will be digging out till spring. Good shots, Kim, but see if your camera will let you use exposure compensation (1 to 1-1/2 more stops) to let in more light so that the snow will be whiter, and you can see the faces more clear. Hope everyone is feeling better.

Wow, those snow shots are an amazing testimony of the quanity of snow you guys had over there! How do the little dogs or even big dogs take care of businesss? I think of these things as we have two. It was hard enough for Luna and little Latte.

I felt the same way Kim, glad to see the rain and also the smusched (don't think there is such a word) green turf under the snow. What an experience to remember! Happy New Year!
